Anti-Racism and Culturally Humble Practice + Learning Lab (Part 1 of 3)

CE Hours 1.5

About this live event

This three-part training series exists to build a shared foundation for anti-racist, culturally humble, and equitable treatment practices within eating disorder care. The goal of the series is to grow our collective ability to recognize racism in eating disorder treatment and systems, interrupt harmful patterns, and practice concrete skills that reduce disparities and promote justice and communication in clinical and organizational settings. This will be an interactive and self-reflective training environment with each part building on the last.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify ways in which white supremacy culture can manifest in eating disorder treatment across client care, colleague relationships, and organizational systems, and apply anti-racist principles to disrupt these patterns in their own practice.
  • Demonstrate and practice skills in real-time disruption of racism using different approaches.
  • Practice cultural humility through self-reflection on power, curiosity about clients' and colleagues' lived experiences, and accountability structures that support continued learning.
