Neurobiology of Trauma: Implications for HLOC

CE Hours 1.5

About this live event

Join us for an insightful clinical presentation exploring the neurobiology of trauma. This session will dive into what trauma is, its profound impact on the brain, and how it influences care. We’ll examine the roles of key brain structures like the amygdala, responsible for detecting threats and triggering fear responses, and the hippocampus, which processes and stores memories. Learn how trauma can alter these systems, leading to challenges in emotional regulation, memory, and overall well-being. Gain valuable knowledge to enhance trauma-informed care and support healing pathways for individuals impacted by trauma in our care.
